Eastern Jr. Vikings 10yr. old and 12 yr. old teams win local and regional championships and are on the way to Canton, Oh to compete for National Titles.

Congratulations to the coaches, players and families of the Eastern Jr. Vikings 10 yr. old and 12 yr. old football teams for their recent championship wins. Voorhees Township wishes you all the best of luck this weekend.

Our 12 and under team has had an amazing season starting with our league play and ending a 10-1 season with a league championship victory over Medford. They outscored opponents on the season 331-47. This was a fast pace offensive attack that scored at will against teams. After winning the league Championship they were invited to compete in a regional tournament in Middletown, DE. After a tough 3 days of play, our 12u emerged as the 2017 Chesapeake Regional Champions and earning and invite to Canton, OH to compete for a National Championship. There are only 8 teams in the nation still competing for this title. The 12 year old team will play in Canton on Friday morning at 8am against the Stanwood Spartans (Stanwood, Wa).

Our 10u team completed an undefeated, 11-0 championship season in a tough league championship game against Burlington Twp. by a score of 20-0. Similar to our 12 year old team, they were invited to compete for a Chesapeake Regional Championship which it successfully accomplished in Middletown, DE. They head to Canton, OH to match up with the Ellenwood Vikings (Ellenwood, Ga) at 11am on Friday morning. This is an explosive offensive team that is excited to match up against some of the best teams in the country. Like the 12’s there are only 8 – 10 year old  teams still  competing.

This is an exciting time for the Eastern Jr. Vikings and we are excited to have our communities support.
