The Voorhees Business Association’s Annual Bowling Fundraiser will be on Friday, April 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Big Event located in the Ellisburg Shopping Center, 1536 Kings Highway N. in Cherry Hill.

This year the event will benefit Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey, a non-profit organization consisting of all volunteers who support our United States Military Forces serving in the Middle East.
They collect and send supplies to our deployed troops and also coordinate and promote welcome home events for veterans in the South Jersey area by partnering with The Warriors Watch Riders and other patriotic organizations to bring our local heroes home in “Rock Star Fashion.”

Bowling lanes will be available for individuals and groups with a maximum of six bowlers per lane. For $20, an individual bowler will be teamed up with other bowlers. A $95 donation gets one lane for six bowlers and includes pizza and a pitcher of soda. For $100, a corporate sponsorship gets signage only. A $150 corporate sponsorship gets one lane with signage, bowling for up to six bowlers, a free pizza and a pitcher of soda.

There will also be a basket auction and a 50/50 raffle.

For more information about the event or to register, visit www.voorheesbusinessassociation.org or send a check to the VBA, P.O. Box 349, Voorhees, New Jersey 08043 with “Bowling” and your sponsorship level in the memo line.

The VBA was started in 1989 when a small group of Voorhees business owners formed a local club to promote business in the Township. The mission of the VBA is to provide a forum for business persons and businesses in the area to meet, share and discuss concerns and interests of a civic, commercial, cultural or economic nature. The VBA also seeks to facilitate a dialogue and channel the energies and resources of the business community and elected officials into improving Voorhees Township.

Other VBA activities include contributing money to Eastern’s Project Graduation and the Voorhees Police Holiday Fund, providing scholarships to Eastern’s graduating seniors and sponsoring such events as the Pumpkin Patch at our Annual Halloween Festival. The VBA has also provides gifts to children at the Voorhees Pediatric Facility.

The VBA has its luncheon meeting on the third Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be held April 18 at noon at Rodizio Brazilian Grill located on Restaurant Row in the Voorhees Town Center. The VBA website also includes member information, a member directory, a member application, upcoming events, links and contact information.

Plan on coming to the Bowling Fundraiser and an upcoming VBA luncheon meeting. Help make a difference in our community!
