VOORHEES TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD MEETING NOTICE

Voorhees Township to conduct July 9, 2020 Zoning Board meeting via video teleconferencing

In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, recently adopted A-3850, and in consideration of Executive Order No. 103, issued by Governor Murphy on March 9, 2020, Voorhees Township will host its next Zoning Board meeting via video teleconferencing on July 9, 2020, at 7 p.m. This action is being taken in order to limit any potential spread of COVID-19 and protect the safety of both residents, township staff, professionals and applicants.

All plans and materials for Brian & Megan Margolis #ZC2020-006 and Michael & Irina Evans #ZC2019-022 are electronically available for public review on and through the Voorhees Township website.  Members of the public may contact the Zoning Board Secretary at ssytnik@voorheesnj.com or call directly at 856-429-0647 Ext 5239 to receive a hard copy of the plans and application by mail or drop/pick up by appointment for a fee in accordance with the Open Public Records Act.  Applicants exhibits will be posted on the website in advance of the July 9, 2020 Zoning Board Meeting and posted for Board and public access prior to and during the video meeting.  The Zoning Board will also be voting on the Meeting Minutes from the February 27, 2020 Zoning Board Meeting.

To facilitate the meeting, the township will be using the video conferencing service ZOOM to allow virtual participation by PC, Mac, smart phone or tablet. The Voorhees Township Courtroom at the Voorhees Township Center, along all township facilities, remains closed to members of the public.  However, for individuals unable to register for ZOOM digitally or dial into the meeting, the Township will make arrangements allowing for personal attendance of not more than ten (10) persons for the hearing, with social distancing practices enforced, at the Voorhees Township Courtroom at 2400 Voorhees Town Center, Voorhees, New Jersey.

If members of the public wish to offer a public comment, Voorhees Township encourages members of the public to attend the Zoning Board meeting virtually. Any member of the public who wishes to submit a public comment at this upcoming Zoning Board meeting will be provided the ability to do so during a specific portion of the meeting.

Members of the public looking to offer a comment must follow the steps below.

For individuals who cannot register for ZOOM digitally or dial into the meeting, the Township will make arrangements to allow for the attendance of not more than ten (10) persons, with social distancing practices enforced, at the Voorhees Township Courtroom at 2400 Voorhees Town Center, Voorhees, New Jersey.  Please contact Stella Sytnik, the Board Secretary, to preregister at 856-429-0647 Ext 5239 at least two (2) days before the hearing date.

Interested parties may submit written comments/questions by contacting the Board Secretary via email at ssytnik@voorheesnj.com prior to the meeting, up until July 8, 2020 at 4:30pm. The comments/questions must include the individual’s name and address, which will be read into the record.

Meeting Participation Rules:

  1. All participants will be set to “listen only”.
  2. If a participant that has registered in ZOOM would like to comment during a portion of the meeting set aside for public participation, they must click the “Raise Hand” button and the host will unmute them.
  3. If a participant who has dialed into ZOOM would like to comment during a portion set aside for public participation, they must dial *9 and the host will unmute them.
