Mayor Mignogna

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced that he will allow our state to celebrate Halloween this year, bringing some semblance of normalcy to our community.

The New Jersey Department of Health has issued Halloween Guidelines to be followed which can be found at  Should you and your family choose to participate in “trick-or-treating,” we strongly recommend that these guidelines be followed.

Traditional Halloween celebrations often involve crowds, close contact and activities in closed spaces.  Outdoor activities are recommended.  Please wear masks that cover the nose and mouth.  Costume masks are not an acceptable substitute for cloth or disposable masks.  Please respect social distancing guidelines and wash hands frequently.

For the safety of our community, we are recommending that all “trick-or-treating” occur between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on October 31, 2020.

Printable flyers are available on the Township Website ( for residents to place on doors advising whether they are participating in Halloween.  We will also make door hangers available  to advise children whether your home is participating. The door hangers are available at Town Hall, the Voorhees Police Headquarters, the Kirkwood and Kresson Fire Departments, the Post Office on Centennial Blvd, the Animal Orphanage and The Animal Welfare Association. The easiest solution if you choose not to participate is to simply not answer your door.

*We will announce the date the door hangers are available at the above locations on our website and social media*

Stay Safe. Stay Strong. Stay Hopeful. We are six feet apart, but closer than ever.
