Four years ago, Voorhees Township resumed the wonderful tradition of Santa Claus touring our town on a fire truck. The tradition will continue this holiday season and we hope it brings smiles to the faces of children and adults alike.

On Friday, Dec. 3 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., Santa will be visiting Ashland Terrace (between Echelon & Somerdale Rd.), Avian, Brian’s Run, Burnt Mill, Cherry Brook Farms, Christopher Tract, Green Ridge, Hearthstone, Kirkwood, Kress Acres, Main Street Colony, Old Ashland, Osage, Partridge Run,Rainwood and Willow Oaks.

On Saturday, Dec. 4 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Santa will ride through Alluvium Woods, Beagle Club, Burnt Mill,Buttonwood, Carriagebrook Farm, Echelon, Echelon Condominiums, Foster Square/Town Center, Foster Square, Franklin Square, Kirkwood, La Bonne Vie, Las Brisas, Main Street Estates, Main Street Condominiums, Mews Condominiums, Sheppard Rd., Three Ponds, Rygate and Wilderness Lakes.

On Friday, Dec. 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., look for Santa in, Ashland Terrace/Turnbridge, Fairway Estates, Hann Ave., Highpoint, Huntington Ridge, Lake Villa, Reserve at Voorhees, Stafford Wold, Staffordshire Farms, Staffordshire Estates, Sturbridge Lakes, Sturbridge Estates, Sturbridge Woods, Sunnyfield, Telle Verde, Terrace Blvd., Whispering Pine, Woodbrook, Woodcrest Acres and Woodcrest Commons.

Saturday, Dec. 11 from 3 p.m. 9 p.m., will be Santas last ridewith the Fire Department before he heads back to the North Pole. He will visit Acorn Hill, Alluvium, Alluvium Lakes Condominiums, Alluvium Woods, Braddock’s Woods, Centennial Mill, Devonshire, Echelon, Elm Tree, Garibaldi, Lake Villa, Lafayette Hills, Lafayette Glenn, Lost Tree, Ridgeview, Royal Court, Traditions and West Berlin.

Santa will be back in Voorhees on Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Kirkwood Fire Station Headquarters on Burnt Mill Rd. to meet with children and enjoy some cookies. Bring your camera to take pictures. This free event will begin at noon and will end at 4 p.m.

** Visit Santa at the Voorhees Town Center through Christmas Eve. Masks are encouraged. Walk-up visits will be available throughout the day. Pet visits will be available on Mondays from Dec. 17 through closing.

**The Voorhees Arts Center will be continuing the Kids Art Camp, providing great art activities for children of our community ages K-6th grades. The next camps are Saturday Dec. 4 and Wednesday Dec. 29 form 9 a.m. to noon in the Town Hall Mall Food Court, visit voorheesartscouncil.org, registration is required.

** Voorhees Township is sponsoring our second annual Holiday House Decorating Contest. The three categories to be judged are, most original, most creative and the Clark Griswold award. Entries will be judged on outdoor decorations only. Entries must be submitted to the Township by 5 p.m. Dec. 16. Winners will be announced at the Dec. 20, Township Committee meeting. ** Please be mindful that it is your responsibility to clean up after your dog. Voorhees Township Code 92.30 mandates that all pet owners immediately and properly dispose of their pets solid waste. Violators of this code shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $250 for each offense. Please be considerate.
