National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that started in 1984 and promotes police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, striving to make our neighborhoods a safer and better place in which to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while encouraging a sense of community and providing a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together.

Citizens, law enforcement agencies, community groups, businesses, youth organizations and local, state, and federal officials take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canada and military bases worldwide.

The best way to prevent crime is to know your neighbors andyour surroundings. National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolates us from each other and allows us to rediscover our own communities. For more information and updates about the event, visit vtpd.com or follow Voorhees Police Department on social media #VoorheesNNO.  If you wish to volunteer, please e-mail VTPD at media@vtpd.com.
