Mayor’s Column Voorhees Business Association

In August of 1989, a small group of Voorhees business owners formed a local club to promote business in the Township.  The Voorhees Business Association (VBA) was born.

The mission of the VBA is to provide a forum for businesspersons and businesses in the area to meet, share and discuss concerns and interests of a civic, commercial, cultural or economic nature.  The VBA also seeks to facilitate a dialogue and channel the energies and resources of the business community and elected officials into improving Voorhees Township.

VBA members have worked tirelessly for our community.  This past April, they held the Annual Voorhees Bowling Fundraiser, drawing over 200 people to raise money for the various charities supported by the VBA.

Other VBA activities include contributing money to Eastern High School’s Project Graduation and the Voorhees Police Holiday Fund, providing scholarships to Eastern graduating seniors, and being the sponsor of the Pumpkin Patch at our Annual Halloween Festival. The VBA also sponsors our Annual Municipal Calendar and provides holiday gifts to children at the Voorhees Pediatric Facility.

The VBA has its luncheon meeting on the third Wednesday of each month. The VBA also hosts After Hours Networking Mixers throughout the year.  The last luncheon was held at the Elena Wu Restaurant in the Voorhees Town Center on July 20.  For the next luncheon meeting information, refer to the VBA website  The VBA website also includes member information, a member directory, a member application, upcoming events, links and contact information.
