The Voorhees Township Police Department will continueparticipating in the BLUE ENVELOPE PROGRAM, a proactive initiative aimed at supporting drivers on the autism spectrumand those with communication disorders. This program is designed to enhance safety and ensure positive interactions between law enforcement officers and individuals during traffic stops.
Drivers can request a special blue envelope to securely keep important documents such as their driver’s license, vehicle registration, insurance details and emergency contact information. Additionally, the envelope provides officers with valuable communication tips, helping to reduce the potential formisunderstandings or escalations.
We invite community members to pick up envelopes and learn more about the program at the Voorhees Township Police Department, located at 1180 White Horse Road, from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
