Mayor’s Column – Seniors Club

“In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”

Abraham Lincoln

Seniors are the foundation and treasures of our community.

The Voorhees Senior Club was created more than three decades ago and has social gatherings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from 11:30am to 3:00pm at the Lions Lake Facility on 101 Dutchtown Road.  Any Voorhees resident 55 years or older can join the Club.

Transportation to and from the Club’s social gatherings on the Voorhees Township minibus can be arranged by calling 609-313-6650 at least a week in advance.  The bus service also takes Voorhees seniors to grocery stores, banks and other local destinations.

“Socials” include bingo, cards, lunch, refreshments, desserts and snacks.  Over the years, outings have included Phillies games, holiday shows in New York City, movies and local restaurant luncheons.

The Club dues are $5.00 per year plus $2.00 for every social attended.  Feel free to stop by at one of the socials to see if there is an interest in becoming a Club member.

Make new friends and enjoy the benefits of being a senior in Voorhees Township!
