VOORHEES ART COMMISSION
The Voorhees Art Commission (VAC) was formed in 2022 in order to provide a space for local artists to express their creativity and share their artistic gifts with the community. We partner with for profit and nonprofit organizations to make culture and creativity essential part of the Township’s strategy for revitalizing our community, improving education in the arts, and promoting economic development.
- Advises the Township on arts and cultural strategy and practices
- Helps to develop education and learning opportunities for our growing art community
- Manages Township art programs, exhibits, events and gallery displays and/or selling of art
The Commission consists of 5 resident members nominated by the Township Committee, as well as an advisory board of non-voting members.

Programs & Initiatives
VAC works with a broad array of partner organizations in carrying out this work. What began with the Voorhees Art Center and Gallery four years ago, the Commission’s mission is to provide support for artists, art students and art lovers alike in fine arts, performing arts, music and more.
The Voorhees Arts Center & Gallery
Among its programs, the Commission helps to manage and support the Voorhees Arts Center & Gallery. The Voorhees Arts Center and Gallery was founded in 2018 with the intention to provide a space for local artists to express their creativity and share their gifts with the community.
The Gallery, located in Voorhees Town Center, promotes and displays the artwork of dozens of local artists. During Town Center operational hours, visitors can stop in, view, and purchase a variety of art, photography, and gifts. As interest in the Gallery and the community based art programs grew, the Arts Center was formed – offering more exhibits, classes, events and other opportunities for artists to showcase their talents and learn.
