The holiday shopping season is nearly upon us. The Shop Voorhees! Property Tax Reward Program! is a great way to shop locally and allow a portion of your normal purchasing dollars spent on goods and services in Voorhees to be applied to your property tax bill, thereby reducing your taxes at the end of the tax year.
Since the program’s inception, over 5000 residents have participated with close to $2.5 million in sales and approximately $150,000 in tax savings.
Register for the Shop Voorhees program at propertytaxcard.com to have your benefits applied. If you reside in an apartment, your address will be the recognizing factor for receiving a check at the end of the tax year.
Shop at any participating Shop Voorhees! business. Such participating businesses are identified by the “Live Voorhees, Shop Voorhees!” logo in their window. A list is also available at propertytaxcard.com under the participating merchants tab. When checking out after shopping, your card is no longer needed. Simply present your registered phone number and the retailer will apply a percentage of your purchase to reduce your property tax bill. Each business independently establishes the percentage of your purchase that will be applied toward your tax credit.
Local participating businesses also benefit by enjoying a higher business volume. Their business banner and website link are also featured on propertytaxcard.com at no extra cost.

Another added convenience for our residents is the Voorhees Township App – Voorhees O-N-E, which consolidates our local O-ffers, N-ews and E-vents into a single app which can be downloaded on your smart phone. It lists all Township sponsored events as well as scheduled trash/recycling/leaf pickups. The app gives you access to special discounts through our “Shop Voorhees” program as well as our free Voorhees Saves Lives/Uber Rides program. It has a button to report downed trees and potholes anywhere in town. It is a great way to stay informed.
