Six years ago, Voorhees Township resumed the wonderful holiday tradition of Santa Claus touring our town on a fire truck. The tradition will continue this holiday season and we hope it brings smiles to the faces of children and adults alike.
On Friday, Dec. 1 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., Santa will be visiting Ashland Terrace (between Echelon & Somerdale Rd.), Avian, Brian’s Run, Burnt Mill, Cherry Brook Farms, Christopher Tract, Green Ridge, Hearthstone, Kirkwood (North of White Horse Road), Kress Acres, Main Street Colony, Old Ashland, Osage, Partridge Run, Rainwood and Willow Oaks.
On Saturday, Dec. 2 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Santa will ride through Alluvium Woods, Beagle Club, Buttonwood, Carriagebrook Farms, Echelon, Echelon Condominiums, Foster Square/Town Center, Foster Square, Franklin Square, Kirkwood, La Bonne Vie, Las Brisas, Main Street Estates, Main Street Condominiums, Mews Condominiums, Sheppard Rd., Three Ponds, Rygate and Wilderness Lakes.
On Friday, Dec. 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., look for Santa in Ashland Terrace/Turnbridge, Hann Ave., Highpoint, Lake VillaDrive, Reserve at Voorhees, Stafford Wold, Staffordshire Farms, Staffordshire Estates, Sturbridge Lakes, Sturbridge Estates, Sturbridge Woods, Sunnyfield, Terrace Blvd., Whispering Pine, Woodbrook, Woodcrest Acres and Woodcrest Commons.
Saturday, Dec. 9 from 3 p.m. 9 p.m., will be Santa’s last ridewith the Fire Department before he heads back to the North Pole. He will visit Acorn Hill, Alluvium, Alluvium Lakes Condominiums, Alluvium Woods, Braddock’s Woods, Centennial Mill, Devonshire, Echelon, Elm Tree, Fairway Estates, Garibaldi, Huntington Ridge, Lake Villa, Lafayette Hills, Lafayette Glenn, Lost Tree, Reserves, Ridgeview, Royal Court, Ryder Club, Telle Verde, Traditions and West Berlin.

Santa will be back in Voorhees on Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Kirkwood Fire Station Headquarters on Burnt Mill Rd. to meet with children and enjoy some cookies. Bring your camera to take pictures. This free event will begin at noon and will end at 4 p.m.

** The Voorhees Township Police Department is again accepting donations to the Voorhees Police Holiday Fund to brighten the lives of local families in need. ** The Voorhees Township Police Department and Camden County are hosting a Winter Coat Drive. The goal is to collect new or gently used coats, hats and gloves for those less fortunate.
